Avaya Media Gateways |
|
Avaya Media Servers and Media Gateways are an integral component of the Avaya Converged Infrastructure. The servers and gateways provide highly flexible, scalable, and standards-based building blocks that can be mixed and matched to create customized solutions. The Avaya Media Gateways address your need for converged solutions that support both TDM and IP telephone environments by seamlessly integrating traditional circuit-switched and IP-switched interfaces. They connect to an Avaya Media Server, either directly or indirectly through other media gateways. The Avaya Media Gateways are available in compact standalone, stackable, and chassis-based configuration that support Analog, Digital, IP PoE, LAN, and WAN interfaces. From the smallest G150 ideally suited for a small branch office to the G700 and G650, which support large enterprises. G150 - The G150 Media Gateway is designed for smaller-scale deployments of small branch offices with 2-12 users. This is a powerful converged networking solution that packs an IP telephony gateway, Wireless Access Point, LAN switch, and WAN router, into a survivable, compact chassis. The Avaya G150 is also an edge router designed to support the consolidation of voice and data traffic over IP. G250 Media Gateway – Designed for a small branch office and delivers the full set of enterprise features to the branch employees. Supports offices with up to 14 users and is equipped with an IP telephony gateway, an advanced IP WAN router, and a high-performance LAN switch into a compact, 2U high 19" rack mount unit. It comes with analog, ISDN-BRI or T1/E1 trunk ports to provide local connections. The system gains its functionality from a centralized Avaya Media Server running Avaya Communication Manager, but has several survivability options that allow communications to continue operating even if the connection to the main server is lost. G650 Media Gateways - The G650 Media Gateway features an 8U high, 14-slot chassis that can be installed in industry standard EIA-310 19", 24", or 600 mm ETSI open or closed racks. The G650 can accommodate a range of analog, digital, ISDN, and IP (over the LAN) phone station configurations, with voice transport options over IP, analog, TDM, or ATM. The G650 is designed for campus deployments with connection to an external Avaya S8500 or S8710/S8720 media Server over the enterprise LAN or an inter S8400 Media Server. Up to five G650 Media Gateways can be combined to form a high-capacity port network that can be integrated into many existing telephony networks. G700 Media Gateway – Ideally suited for mid-sized systems, call center applications, or for use as a networked gateway for larger branch office locations. Provides advanced TDM/IP architecture, full capabilities of Avaya Communication Manager, and internal Ethernet switch for use as a standalone solution or as a remote edge device. Suited for enterprises with locations that have 40-450 extensions. The G700 Media Gateway is a 19-inch 2U chassis containing 4 media module bays and one Avaya P330 Expansion Module bay. The G700 Gateway is designed for growth. When used with the Avaya Octaplane Stack Module, up to ten G700 Media Gateways can be stacked together.
